Senior food correspondent Tan Hsueh Yun visited our Havelock Road restaurant to try our menu. ![Hup Lok featured in Straits Times](https://ycpbpxbn34.koniglecdn.com/images/straits-times-huplok.webp) The Straits Times Review The review focused on two of our signature dishes. Regarding the Claypot Hokkien Mee, Hsueh Yun noted the preparation and flavor profile:

> "Nothing prepares me for how good the noodles are. They have that beguiling, smoky flavour and there is enough sauce to coat each strand without drowning the noodles." — The Straits Times

She also reviewed Grandpa’s Pomfret Soup, describing the stock made with dried sole, chicken, and fish bones:

> "And the soup comes with what looks like an entire pomfret, meaty and just cooked. When it lands on the table, attack at once, so the residual heat does not overcook the fish." — The Straits Times
